We recently helped a high-profile client avoid a costly mistake. They were experiencing frequent network drops and disconnections impacting their home automation system.
Several vendors had recommended replacing their entire network infrastructure at a staggering cost.
Our team conducted a thorough on-site assessment and identified the root cause of the problem: a lack of proper network infrastructure.
Instead of replacing their existing 22 wireless access points & network switches, we implemented a strategic approach that included:
Installing a patch panel for improved cable management and organization.
Replacing faulty cables with new ones.
Resetting and reconfiguring network devices to optimize performance.
Their home theatre DSP had two LAN Ports (in & Out).
The home theater's DSP unit was incorrectly connected to the network switch, causing Wi-Fi to disconnect whenever the system was powered on. (There was no problem in the LAN) By simply reconfiguring the LAN output from the DSP to the amplifier,we successfully resolved the issue without the need for any costly network upgrades.
